Digital Comic #1 - Our Response to Amy's Angry Vlog!

This is the response in a comic strip style to Amy Cohen Efron's angry vlog! I am an alumnus from Gallaudet University and have been involved in the 1988 Deaf President Now (DPN) protests. My wife Ginny Paja Nyholm and I have not yet received the postcard about SLCC from Gallaudet University's Development Office but once we saw Amy's angry response to SLCC postcard via Deafread.com, we felt that we needed to justify our feelings via the comic strip and reinforce Amy's concerns towards SLCC! We love and embrace the Deaf culture and the beloved language -- American Sign Language -- ASL!

Oh my gawd... eye popping, indeed... and simply *WOW*!

You have a talent!

Thank you so much for supporting me and making my point justified.

I am very humbled by that.

Warmest,
Amy Cohen Efron

I love your comic strips. Why don't it call CLOG or DeafCartoon-LOG for our readerships.

Hey, I knew your wife well since we were students at CSDR in early 1980's. Tell her to give my warm regards.

Keep Comicing!

An unique format that is eye-catching! Very cool!

Neat! I like your style. I'll mention your blog when I finally come back to work on my blog.

To Jon and Nick Vera,

I'd suggest c-blog. I don't like "clog" because of its association with plumbing. Let's henceforth call cartoon blogging "c-blog"! Whaddya say?

Your creativity has always amazed me since our ol' good Gally days! :)

I agree with your blog about SLCC all the way! :)

Cool piece of digtial comic strip on the issue of SLCC and Amy Cohen Efron's justifable rage!

At first, I really do not know who you are. After viewing another c-blog (McClintonck coined this one) of yours. Yes! I know you at Gallaudet!

You and others always have conversation about the Japanese animes and other comic books. Same thing with your freelance drawings of various Japanese anime characters. Good to know that you are doing pretty well.

I am no longer buying graphic novels or other comic books since the nowaday stuff not conform to my tastes.

Keep up the good work! What about selling your digital artworks?? I would like to buy yours. Same thing with McClintontock's editoral artworks, too!

That was sheer genius! I enjoy your unique take on the SLCC issue.

My opinion C-Blog is for Comic Blog. Not Cartoon Blog. Best use "Comic" than Cartoon. Check on www.onlinecomics.net or www.comics.com or http://bugpowder.com/andy/ That's why I don't see any "cartoon". Keep up your comic Blog for New Future! : )

Hi, everyone!

A BELATED thanks to all of you with your compliments on the comic strip or C-log! Better late than never!?!?

Hey, Nick -- it is so good to see your name and it has been a while! Hope to see you at the next CSDR reunion!

Ward and I are the rookies learning the ropes of blogging/vlogging and working on the next few blogs or vlogs!

Once again, thanks!

Just love your two beautifully cartoons especially the second one representing vloggers and bloggers debating hard and back and forth!! Look forward to seeing some more of your work!! I am curious about the PANY Lighthouse. What does Pany stand for? its significance? Thanks.

I repeated this comment in the March Tournament blog post. Anyway, thanks for asking about the significance of PANY Lighthouse. PANY stands for our two last names. My maiden name is Paja so the PA is taken out of that name. Ward's last name is Nyholm and the NY is taken out of that name as well. Therefore, PA-NY is put together as PANY and the PANY Lighthouse was born!!!

This is the significance of the PANY Lighthouse! Notice the meaning under the PANY Lighthouse and the "hear" is omitted from the 5 senses. Capisce?

Ginny Paja-Nyholm

P.S. I use Paja-Nyholm for the Deaf Community purposes as in the academic and professional years (California School for the Deaf, Riverside (CSDR),CSUN, Gallaudet and Deaf Community), I was known as Ginny Paja before I married Ward!
